We are a small group of software development professionals working in various areas of the high-tech industry in the Ottawa area. We thought of an innovative idea of developing and distributing a new personal income tax preparation software. StudioTax is the result of many years of development effort and the help of many friends and users with diverse technical, financial, and tax expertise.
Our mission is simple: provide Canadians with a secure, reliable, and affordable way to prepare and file their personal income tax returns — with their data staying entirely on their own device.

StudioTax is a Windows application that resides on your computer’s local hard drive. All your personal and financial information required to create your tax return is saved locally. There is absolutely no information transmitted by StudioTax outside your computer.
We communicate with our users by email. We do not use these email addresses except to personally reply to a question or comment. We do not collect, share, sell, or buy email lists.
Use of This Web Site
Like many web servers, our server may collect general non-personally-identifiable or anonymous codes to obtain information about your visits to this site. This information is used to track the number of visits, page accesses, number of downloads, and other general statistics. We currently do not use cookies on our web site.
