T5007 – Statement of Benefits
To enter your T5007, use the Tslips tab or the Tslips tree view on the left side of the screen. See Tslips Sections for details on how to navigate the Tslips interface.
Box 11 – Why Doesn’t the Amount Transfer to My Return?
If the amount from Box 11 of your T5007 appears correctly on the T-slip but does not seem to transfer to the expected line of your return, this is intentional and is due to a CRA rule about linked spousal returns.
If you are filing a linked spousal return, check your spouse’s return.
As per CRA rules, social assistance payments (T5007 Box 11) must be reported on the return of the spouse with the higher net income, regardless of who actually received the benefit. StudioTax applies this rule automatically, which is why the amount may appear on the other spouse’s return rather than your own.
