Why Is the CWB (Schedule 6) Not Being Calculated?
A checkbox was automatically unchecked
If a checkbox in Part 1 of Schedule 6 was automatically unchecked by the software, it means the software has determined that this return is not eligible for this credit. Please refer to the instructions on Schedule 6 for the eligibility criteria.
The CWB is not being calculated
If the Canada Workers Benefit (CWB) is not being calculated:
- Make sure you have ticked the correct checkbox in Part 1 of Schedule 6.
- Follow the instructions on the form and complete Schedule 6 only after you have finished entering all your income information in the return.
RC210 — CWB Advance Payments Statement
If you received the CWB last year, you almost certainly received advance payments and should have received an RC210 slip. The RC210 reports the advance CWB payments you received during the year, and this amount reduces your CWB credit when you file your return.
Make sure to enter your RC210 in StudioTax. Failing to do so may result in a CRA reassessment.
For more information, refer to the CRA official documentation on the Canada Workers Benefit (line 45300) and the RC210 — CWB Advance Payments Statement .
