Your NETFILE access code is an 8-character code issued by the CRA. It is printed on the right side of your Notice of Assessment (NOA) from the previous tax year.

If you cannot locate your NOA or are unsure of your code, you can verify it by contacting the CRA directly. We do not have access to your personal tax information and are unable to look it up on your behalf.

The Access Code Is Optional

The NETFILE access code is not required to file your return. If you don’t have it, you can skip it:

1. In the NETFILE wizard, locate the access code field.
2. Check the box above the access code field to indicate you do not have one.
3. Proceed to submit your return without it.

Note: Providing the access code adds an extra layer of identity verification, but your return can still be filed and processed without it.
