If you are experiencing difficulty updating your existing installation, please note that the latest update is provided as a full reinstall of the software.

To resolve the issue, simply follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall the existing version of StudioTax from your computer.
  2. Download the latest version from our website. See How to Download and Install StudioTax for instructions.
  3. Install the software again.

You do not need to worry about losing your tax returns. Your return files are stored separately on your computer and are not removed when you uninstall the software. After reinstalling, you can open your existing returns as usual. See Will I Lose My Returns If I Update or Reinstall StudioTax? for more details.
