Removing a form from the tree view in StudioTax does not actually delete it from your return. The form and all the data you entered in it are still part of the return — only its display in the sidebar is affected.

To fully remove a form and its data from your return, you must clear all the information entered in that form before removing it from the view.

Steps

1. If you have already removed the form from the tree view, add it back first using the Forms button in the toolbar. See Add/Remove Forms for instructions.
2. Navigate to the form and clear all the fields — make sure every value is deleted or reset to zero.
3. Once the form is empty, use the Forms button to remove it from the tree view.

Important: Skipping step 2 means the form data will remain in your return and may affect your tax calculations, even if the form is no longer visible.
