If you have an amount at line 11500 (T1 General), use the T1032 form to split the pension. Here are the 3 easy steps for pension splitting using Studio Tax:
- Go to the pensioner’s T1032 and tick the first box above Step 1.
- Scroll down to line 14 and press the button under line 14 to run the Optimizer.
- Press OK to accept the result.
Where to find the optimizer?
If you are using the Windows version, the optimizer can be launched from the menu at the top or from the button under line 14.
How to elect pension splitting?
Click on the Forms button and add the T1032 form from the available forms list:
